This supernatural drama will have viewers' hearts pounding as the scary events unfold, after four kidnappers abduct a young boy and hide out in an isolated cabin.

Whisper: The Devil’s work is child’s play is a supernatural drama starring Josh Holloway (from T.V series Lost), Sarah Wayne Callies (from T.V series Prison Break), Australian actor Joel Edgerton, Michael Rooker (Jumper), and Blake Woodruff, and one that fans of the Omen should enjoy.

Whisper Overview

After being rejected by the bank for a loan, ex-felon Max Truemont (Holloway) decides to do one final job with some criminal associates, hired by the absent mastermind Jones. Max, his fiancé Roxanne (Callies), Vince (Edgerton), and Sydney (Rooker), abduct the 8-year-old boy of the wealthiest women in the state, with the plan to take him to a remote country hide-out and ask for a ransom.

Max abducts the boy and meets up with the other 3 kidnappers and they head to the cabin hideout. The isolation of being in the cabin begins to get on the kidnappers nerves, and Roxanne begins having terrifyingly real nightmares. David is the only one not disturbed by the strange occurrences, leading Max to suspect that there is more to David then meets the eye.

Whisper Review

Whisper is an intense drama that will have the viewer hooked and guessing. The plot is character driven and the actors portray their parts exceptionally. The four kidnappers think they have everything planned out, but the death of one of them throws their plan out of whack.

Strange occurrences begin, like David seemingly be able to leave his locked room whenever he chooses, the whispering voices the kidnappers begin to hear, the nightmares, and the black wolves that are menacingly hanging around the cabin, puts the kidnappers on edge.

David is calm throughout, almost to the point of befriending some of the kidnappers, or so it seems, but his manipulations pit the kidnappers against one another, bringing up past suspicions and betrayals. As horrific events escalate, Max realizes that David may not be so innocent after all.

A very interesting story that moves along at a good pace keeping the viewer wondering if David is the innocent victim of a shocking crime, and who will be left at the end. A surprising twist near the end, as well as the ending, which is not easily predicted, will leave the viewer happy with their decision to hire this DVD movie. Overall, this ‘Omen-esque’ movie, with plot twists and good acting is a winner.
